In my paintings, I often portray scenes that highlight the presence of a higher power. These depictions remind us that we are never alone; we are always accompanied by a divine being. Personally, I believe in dreaming our dreams in partnership with this presence, leading to a life of beauty and fulfillment. Imagine if we could lean on the back of this higher power, relying on its strength. We would become incredibly resilient, able to overcome any obstacle that comes our way. Such a reliance would bring us immense happiness and inner strength. I believe that this connection with the divine grants us a sense of peace and serenity.

"In so many ways all of us are like children. We are so fearful, so weak, so quick to forget why we're here. We fall and bruise in our lives and don't truly get back up until our Savior picks us up. We trip and stumble until we realize our Redeemer can carry us. Will life always be easy in the Lord’s care? Absolutely not. We are not here to vacation but to be tried, stretched and grown. For this reason I did not want the child to look overly happy or excited because we all know life isn't always that way. I wanted him to look as though he were at peace with The One carrying him. The atonement of Christ can and must carry us back to our heavenly home!."

Originally, this piece was much wider, featuring Peter running towards Christ, but unfortunately, while Liz Lemon Swindle's son was delivering it, he accidentally dropped the painting, causing a significant gash on the left side of the original oil artwork. Liz Lemon Swindle gazed at the painting, taking a moment to contemplate the situation. She had been grappling with the composition of this particular piece, and unexpectedly, the mishap presented an opportunity. With determination, she reached for a pair of scissors and carefully cut out the damaged portion from the left side of the painting. As she stepped back to admire her decision, a sense of realization washed over her. "This is exactly what it needed," Liz declared with a newfound confidence.
