I had been trying to think of a way that I could do a painting that represents kindness. One day I was at a park with my family, and we noticed a little scene that was my inspiration I had been looking for. There was a little girl who had lost her helium balloon and was quite upset by it. Then we noticed her sister give up her very own balloon by handing it to her to help her feel better. It was so sweet! My daughter leaned over to me and told me I should paint that story, and I agreed. It’s a perfect example of true kindness.

For over 20 years, Cortney Lunt has been a full time mom and a part time artist. Family has always been her main priority, and continues to be so, but she is finding more time for her art as her family is growing up. Art, family, and spirituality have always been interconnected for her. She loves to paint anything that brings joy. She truly feels like the Lord has had a hand in her work and is very grateful for the opportunity to share her artwork with others.
