Story Behind the Art
Story Behind the Art
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matt. 18:20-21.
Seven panels were first painted in dark reds, purples, and blacks. Each was then covered in gold and white, symbolizing the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
In Hebrew, the number seven is sheva, and seventy is shiv'im. Both numbers hold symbolic significance, with "seven" often representing completeness or perfection and "seventy" representing the totality of the natural order or a complete period of time.
Together seventy times seven suggests forgiving completely and throughout all time. Christ can ask this of us because He atoned for everything forever.
Original artwork of Acrylic on Panels 7 x 5. Framed at 6.75 x 8.75. Painted 2025.
About the Artist
About the Artist
Kamette is a mother of six who paints because she loves it. However, this means that she is often found in her studio late at night after everyone else has gone to sleep. She is fascinated by beauty and is always working with different mediums to try and capture it. She wants her work to communicate those ideas that just can’t quite be communicated in any other way. It is that wonderful quality of art that drives her.
