“Meet your maker” is usually used in a negative connotation, but seriously, I can’t wait to meet my maker. This is just a small painting I did of Christ, It was just going to be a quick study, it was finished in a few hours. But I like it more than some pieces I have spent months on. I learned when I pray fervently before picking up my brushes the Lord helps me be a better artist than I can ever be on my own. When I let pride into my heart and start thinking I’m all cool by myself, the Lord sure lets me see how good I am on my own, which isn’t very talented at all. Through my art I have come to learn a lesson, it’s ok to lean on Jesus in all aspects of life. He loves me and knows I am human and can’t do a lot on my own. I need Him. For work, for play, for family life, for sad times, for happy times, I can always trust Him and lean on Him. And where I fail so miserably, he can help me out, he can even make good things come out of our mistakes.
