Five years ago, I became a mother. Overwhelmed and living below the poverty line, my husband and I desperately wanted to show our appreciation for our dear friends before we moved away. With not a penny to our name, I whipped out a gifted watercolor set and sat down to create my first portrait. The words of adoration and encouragement from those friends inspired me. I have now been completing commissions for five years!

I never dreamed I would actually get to call myself an "artist." Though, growing up, art was always a part of my life. My mom, Bob Ross' number one fan, and an art major herself, has been giving me unofficial art lessons since I was old enough to hold a pencil. She remains my on call expert whenever I find myself in over my head.
