On This, The Seventh Day Collection

This collection brings together artist Kammette Harmer’s powerful interpretation of the Creation alongside companion works that deepen its meaning. The six core paintings depict each day of Creation with symbolic references to Jesus Christ, arranged in three cycles that build upon one another—much like layers of paint building a masterpiece. Day 4 expands upon Day 1, Day 5 upon Day 2, and Day 6 upon Day 3, culminating in the sacred seventh day of rest. In scripture, the number seven symbolizes completion and wholeness, perfectly reflecting God’s rest after the earth was finished.

Alongside these originals are preparatory studies that reveal the artist’s process and intimate reflections, giving us a window into the making of the larger works. The collection also includes symbolic representations of Christ’s love—images that invite us to see not only the majesty of Creation itself but also the compassion, guidance, and sustaining presence of the Savior woven through it. Together, these pieces testify that from the beginning of time to the present moment, Jesus Christ has always been the Light, the Living Water, the Rock, and the Lamb who offers wholeness and peace.
