Scott Gustafson

Scott Gustafson creates fairy tale treasures for the child in each of us. His paintings and porcelains--as well as possessing visual richness--are rich in imagination. His creations breath life back into stories from long ago, reinventing and interpreting fairy tales in ways which appeal to all ages.

Born and raised in Illinois, Gustafson pursued animation art through-out his years at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and Columbia College. Among his first inspirations were Walt Disney cartoons.

Publications as diverse as The Saturday Evening Post and Playboy have used his work. Gustafson has illustrated anew such children's classics as The Night Before Christmas, The Nutcracker, and Peter Pan, as well as his own books, including Animal Orchestra and Animal Soup.
