When I was in the area where I took reference photos for this painting, I was with my daughter and her fiancé, who were having a wedding photo shoot. The wildflowers were all beautiful! Before they were finished, it started pouring rain. Instead of being upset by it, they decided to embrace the moment with the rain. I was so proud of them and realized that it’s a great lesson for all of us in life.

For over 20 years, Cortney Lunt has been a full time mom and a part time artist.
