The mother sits on a rock in a beautiful glade of trees. The infant in her arms is not fully substantial. The reflection in the water shows a defined and clear baby. This painting explores some of the feelings I experienced when trying to grow my family: feelings of loss, longing, and hope in a future that exists in another realm.
