Journey

In Luke we read, ®And Joseph also went up…to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.® What must Mary have thought when Joseph told her they would be going to Bethlehem?

Leaving family and friends at the very moment when she was to deliver. What must she have thought as they crossed those dusty roads only to find shelter in a stable? It was her faith to go that brought hope into a hopeless world.

This life has been compared to a journey. We do not know the end when we begin, and there are times we cannot see even a single step ahead. But like Mary, we must have the faith to walk into the unknown and pray that God, who holds all things in His hands, will hold on to us.
