I absolutely love to eat all kinds of bread, and at all times of the day. Bread is one of those little sparks of joy that we get to experience in our lives, along with many other examples of God''s grace to humanity. In Jesus'' time, bread was more of a necessity to live than it was a luxury. I think it is so cool to think of bread being something that we can desire, and something that we need to live. Jesus declared that He Himself is the "bread of life" (John 6:35) and whoever eats of this bread will live forever. Truly Jesus is both something that can bring us necessity and joy. Jesus teaches us to pray "Give us this day our daily bread", speaking of both physical nourishment from food and spiritual nourishment from the Word of God. Also, the coolest thing about this art piece is that I got to eat the bread after taking all of the pictures first. Such a blessing!
