South Fork Plein Air Original Artwork

SKU: LP1029846Orig

12 X 9 Oil on Canvas

This was painting was done looking out over a bluff, high above the South Fork of the Snake River. The location is on Idaho highway 26 east of Ririe Idaho. On the far distant horizon line, the two volcanic cinder cones referred to now as the Menan Buttes can be seen. They are an iconic landmark 7 miles straight west of Rexburg. The confluence of the South Fork and Henry’s (North) Fork of the Snake River actually come together there at the base of the South Butte.
