Miracles of healing take place throughout the Holy Scriptures. I wanted to convey the importance of the “one” to the Lord. Everything He touches He heals. Each of us is important to the Lord. I was touched by these seemingly insignificant verses of scripture (Mark 1: 30-31).

“But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her. And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.”

This powerful image resonates with each of us. Elder Neal A. Maxwell spoke about the Lord’s desire to bless us in the infinite and immediate moments of our lives.

Jesus Christ is the master healer. He is the great physician that lifts and heals each of us according to our needs. I wanted to visually express the love we feel, the gratitude that envelops us as we are healed, even in the common and everyday experiences of our lives. My favorite part of verse thirty-one is that after she is healed she then “ministered” unto them.
