Born This Day Original Artwork

15 X 12 Oil on Canvas - The Nativity story Liz began 25 years ago comes full circle with her new painting Born This Day. Lemon-Swindle's most renowned image, “Be It Unto Me”, featured Mary gazing out at us from the painting with the new born Christ child in her arms. The model for the baby Jesus in that painting was Liz's then newborn granddaughter. Now a grown woman herself, the one-time model presented Liz with a great grandson in the fall of 2022 – the girl’s own first born child. The arrival of this newborn inspired Liz's newest Nativity piece, Born This Day.
