30 X 40 Original Oil on Canvas, Framed 40 1/4 x 50. In the painting, Mary is leaning into Jesus weeping from the overwhelming feeling of relief and comfort she was experiencing. Our imperfect nature is expected and completely forgiven when we surrender to Jesus Christ. He knows each of us by name, and no soul is forgotten. This is a moment of complete surrender to the safe embrace of the Savior - who knows our shortcomings yet continues to love us.

Dallas Jenkins, creator, writer, producer, and director of international phenomenon The Chosen is hands on with every detail of this immense project. His selection of Liz Lemon Swindle and her paintings to represent the series as fine art in the homes of fans and collectors was no casual decision. It was her ability to interpret the message of Christ set her apart.

Recognizing Liz as a fellow artist, Jenkins gave her the freedom to select her subjects from the scenes that touched her deepest. A number of paintings were initially created from which “You Are Mine” was ultimately selected. Almost universally this scene, at the end of Season 1 - Episode 1, is the moment every fan said, “That’s when I was hooked!”
