Tom will tell you that the painting was not his idea alone...For about a month, he says he was looking for inspiration. He prayed and fasted, hoping for an idea to spark.
It happened at a church service.
“While I was singing, God downloaded this image in my mind,” Blackshear said. “I always say that I did not create ‘Forgiven.’ It was given to me.”

This is my FAVORITE painting ever!!! Very realistic, touching, mesmerizing and beautiful!!! I like that this painting doesn't show much of Jesus face, because as Christians we're not supposed to have a complete image of Him. Colossians 1:15, "He is the image of the invisible God."

The pictures are so life-like, so real. No one really knows what Jesus looks like, but you most certainly captured His heart! Just beautiful. Amazing!
