Story Behind the Art

In We Are All Wildflowers, Jesus Christ sits in a field of grass and jubilant blooming wildflowers. He gently embraces a single lamb while others begin to materialize around Him, their forms softly woven from petals, stems, and light of Christ. Each sheep appears distinct, shaped by the same earth yet unmistakably its own, mirroring the way no two wildflowers are ever identical. Christ’s embrace affirms that every life, however small or different, is known and loved exactly as it was formed. The painting suggests that we are all grown from the same divine ground, rooted in grace, and gathered together despite our individual uniqueness.

About the Artist

Yongsung Kim spent his youth in the beautiful countryside of Korea, and still resides in Korea today. The main theme of his work are primarily Jesus Christ and Christianity. In a world with an increasing culture of violence and darkness, Yongsung Kim wants to shed the light of Jesus Christ to a new generation. Rather than the world’s often heavy and grim depiction of Jesus Christ, Yongsung Kim focuses on a bright, loving, and beautiful idea of Jesus Christ, utilizing portrayals of familiar scenes of nature to help it enter the heart of the observer.
