Beautiful

Got this for my sister who lost her baby in utero. Not a pain that will ever go away in life but this painting is a beautiful reminder of the eternal perspective.

This painting is so sacred.

My friend showed me this image a few years ago after I suffered the loss of my first child (stillborn). I still remember the feeling of my heart as I envisioned my hands giving my baby back to our Heavenly Father and Mother. Every night praying for them to keep her safe until we are reunited one day. It is rare to speak of our Heavenly Mother, but she is so sacred. The thought of her there, involved in our lives, just humbles me. This image just reminds me just how sacred all babies are. Special gifts from Heaven entrusted to us.

I read the artist's website at the time and learned that most people see the gift from heaven perspective, receiving the baby. But then discovered that several grieving mothers had the same idea I had, returning a sacred gift for safe keeping. It was very healing. I've always wanted to have this picture in my home. I saw it the other day in a bookstore and decided it was time it is on my wall now. As a reminder that our Heavenly Father and our Heavenly Mother are mindful of us and love us all very much.
