Day turns to night and night back to day. This very fundamental part of our experience has become a deeply rich, philosophical symbol to me. Sometimes I want everything to be like the daytime: light, bright, happy, and a time for action. But day cannot exist without its opposite, night. Finding the beauty in the rest and peace of darkness has helped me discover that my goal is not to eliminate the night, but to have the night and the day together in dynamic equilibrium.
